Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") describe the specific content of the Woopsie! services, the rules of use, and the rights and obligations of both parties. Legal liability matters related to your use of the App (subscription payments, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law, etc.) are governed by the User Agreement. By using the App, you agree to these Terms and the User Agreement.

1. Service Description

Woopsie! is a walk-recording app for pet owners, available on iOS (iOS 17 or later), with Apple Watch integration. Main services include:

• Walk recording: GPS route, duration, distance, and exercise load;
• Event logging: recording events during walks such as poop, food, water, rest, play, and photos;
• Exercise load: real-time load calculated from the goals you set, combined with Apple Health heart rate data (if authorized);
• Apple Watch: standalone watch walks, heart rate relay, and walk reminders;
• Cloud sync: syncing pet profiles, walk records, and events across devices;
• Push notifications: walk reminders and outdoor weather alerts based on your settings.

2. Free Features and Subscription Features

For users without an active subscription, new data is stored locally on the device only and is not synced to the cloud. Data previously synced to the cloud remains on our servers, and syncing resumes once you subscribe. A one-time 48-hour free trial begins when you first open the App; once it ends without a subscription, the App's features can no longer be used until you subscribe. Your existing local data is not deleted.

3. Data Sync Rules

• Cloud sync is available to users with an active subscription only;
• Sync is local-first: the App merges data with the cloud periodically during launch and use, and local data prevails when server data is older;
• Walk records and events you delete on any device will be removed from the cloud and other devices after sync;
• Pet photos and event photos are stored locally on the device and are not part of cloud sync.

4. Notification Services

4.1 Walk Reminders

You may set your own daily walk reminder times. Reminders are sent only after you enable notification permission and are for reminder purposes only.

4.2 Outdoor Weather Alerts

When outdoor conditions at your location (based on Apple Weather data, via WeatherKit) are unsuitable for walking, we may send alert notifications at 09:00, 13:00, and 17:00 (in your local time zone). Alerts are for reference only; whether to walk your pet is entirely your decision based on your pet's health and outdoor conditions.

4.3 Disabling Notifications

You may disable all or part of the notifications at any time within the App or in iOS Settings.

5. Weather and Location Services

The weather alert feature requires your location to obtain local weather information. Your approximate location is sent to our servers and stored with your device's push token solely to check local weather and send these alerts, and it is sent to Apple's weather service (Apple Weather, via WeatherKit) to perform the query (see the Privacy Policy). Weather data is provided by Apple Weather, and we do not warrant its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.

6. User Responsibilities

• You should keep your pet profile (including weight and daily goals) accurate so that load calculations remain meaningful;
• You should comply with local laws regarding pet keeping, walking, and leashing;
• You understand that all data displayed in the App (load, distance, heart rate, weather) is for reference only and does not constitute professional advice; you bear full responsibility for walking safety.

7. Service Availability

We strive to provide stable services, but the service may be interrupted or delayed due to maintenance, upgrades, network failures, or force majeure. We will provide reasonable notice of planned maintenance where possible but are not responsible for unplanned interruptions.
